Epilepsy Action Australia

It is estimated that over 225,000 Australians are living with epilepsy and approximately 3% of Australians will experience the condition at some point in their lives. Up to 5% will experience a one-off or provoked seizure during their lifetime.

How Epilepsy Action Australia can help

Epilepsy Action Australia provides a range of services including patient, community and professional education, seizure management planning, case management, emergency medication training, workshops and residential camps, as well as supporting a number of hospital based clinics. Services are delivered by phone, video conference and internet, with a physical presence in most states and territories.

Epilepsy Action Australia has committed to delivering equitable and consistent services to all people in Australia. Having developed and implemented a number of service delivery tools, there has been a strong focus on the use of technology and online modes to deliver education and self-management services. Examples include My Epilepsy Key, the Online Academy, use of social media, videoconferencing and webinars.
